Trans Day or Remembrance, 20th November, remembers those trans people that have lost their lives over this and past years whether through societal violence or through suicide.
Suicidal ideation in trans people is estimated at 90% - not because they are trans but because society does not allow them to be trans - to live their lives as themselves.
Murder, assault - physical and mental - abuse is higher among trans people than in any other group in society.
This needs to change.
We will remember.
We are asking all all organisations and individuals to post an image of a candle on social media and then refrain from any further conversations that day. You can find suitable graphics here.
