Ian 'H' Watkins and Owain Wyn Evans discuss with Bobbi Pickard how music helps us to find ourselves and to tell our stories.

Ian, known professionally as H, is a Welsh singer, actor, artist, proud gay man and role model and Champion of Trans in the City. He is well-known as a member of the British pop group Steps and became part of the first same sex couple on 'Dancing on Ice' in 2020. Ian is the founder of Cowbridge Pride, along with Tom Hope.

Rosie Jones is a comedian, actor and writer. She is a proud, gay, disabled woman, and a trans ally. She has fronted her own travelogue series called Trip Hazard on Channel 4, and can also be seen on countless hit television shows including Live At The Apollo, The Jonathan Ross Show, The Last Leg, and Casualty to name a few!

With over 20 years in the beauty business and having worked for some of the world’s greatest designers, photographers and most iconic makeup artists from the backstages of New York or Paris to the front rows of London’s West End, Dominic is the Director of Makeup Artistry at M·A·C Cosmetics and judge on BBC 3’s Glow Up.

Owain Wyn Evans is an award-winning TV and radio presenter, perhaps best known for his record-breaking drumathon for Children in Need. Owain wakes up the nation with his Early Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2. In 2018, he produced a series of clips for Netflix alongside Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown for the UK Pride Season and is an ambassador for the LGBT Foundation.

Kate Hutchinson is passionate about inclusion. She has advised local authorities and teaching unions across England and Wales about trans inclusion in education. Kate is a Regional Education Manager for LGBTQ+ education charity Diversity Role Models. Kate is also a Trustee at education charity Schools Out UK.

A lifelong social activist, Lisa was one of the creators and founding members of Stonewall. She volunteered on Switchboard LGBT for 14 years throughout the early HIV epidemic and went on to spent 17 years with the Terrence Higgins Trust as Policy Director. More recently, Lisa was Chair of the international HIV Justice Network and is one of the creators of Fast Track Cymru. Lisa is also a Trustee of Queer Britain.

Wil is a non binary comedian barber and punk from the Peoples Republic of Chippenham. They won the 2004 Perrier Award for best newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe and have opened for acts as diverse as Mark Thomas, Sleaford Mods and John Cooper Clarke.

Bobbi Pickard is a Diversity Equity and Inclusion professional and, as the first openly transgender person in bp, she transformed transgender awareness globally within the company. She is CEO of Trans in the City, Patron of FFLAG, a Diversity Role Model, a very proud golden champion of Stonewall Housing.

Emily is Vice President of Strategic Change at a FTSE100 company and the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Trans in the City. Emily is an award winning globally recognised mental health speaker, and is the founder and chair of the world's first LGBT supporter's association in world rugby, QuinsPride.

Sarah is the Founder and CEO of Undivided Training and Consultancy, Fast Track Cymru Manager and she sits on the Welsh Government’s LGBTQ+ Advisory Group. Sarah supports an LGBTQ+ Youth Group in Swansea, and is the Executive Director here at Trans in the City.

Eva is an activist, writer, public speaker, TEDx speaker, and Director of Trans in the City. Most notably, Eva took legal action against NHS England in the High Court to challenge unlawful waiting times for trans patients. Eva is Director of Innovation at Birmingham Pride, sits on the Crown Prosecution Service’s hate crime panel and is a brand ambassador for London Transgender Clinic..

Skye Morden is a highly decorated police officer with over 22 years of service to the people of the UK. She is currently a Taser Lead Instructor and public order, public safety trainer. Skye is a renowned public sector and academic speaker as well as being a PhD advisor. She is a Director of Trans in the City and a trustee for Birmingham LGBT.

As Head of Business Management at the London Stock Exchange Group, Arlene is dedicated to enhancing ways of working and promoting collaboration. She passionately champions inclusion of the LGBTI+ community and works tirelessly to create spaces where everyone can show up as their best selves in all areas of life.
