Trans in the City launches a communications masterclass for trans and non-binary inclusivity.

In order to empower organisations to confidently navigate the communications challenges that come with transgender and non-binary inclusion, Trans in the City has partnered with TransMission PR - a communications consultancy that specialises in this space - to create a training package which will give comms pros the tools they need to ensure their trans-inclusive campaigns stand up to scrutiny,  and achieve their DE&I goals.

The session helps to alleviate some of the fear that comes with being inclusive of gender diverse people by providing clarity around language use, intention and the importance of values-led communications, while highlighting some of the common PR pitfalls so that they can be avoided.

About the masterclass launch, Trans in the City CEO Bobbi Pickard said, "One of the challenges we've heard from many of our organisations is the fear of landing trans-inclusive messages internally and externally, especially in today's climate. So, we've teamed up with the incredible TransMission PR to produce a best practice and best-in-industry guide to dealing with some of these challenges, but - most importantly - how to make it a positive experience for you and your organisation."

Founder of TransMission PR, Aby Hawker, said “The communications landscape in relation to gender diversity has become a flashpoint. Knowing how to navigate this space is crucial in avoiding reputational damage which can have long lasting effects. Empowering your team so that they know exactly what they can expect and how they will navigate any challenges they may face in this area is crucial to being able to confidently position yourself as a fully inclusive organisation that genuinely cares about doing what is right.”

The CPD accredited masterclass has been launched to coincide with Transgender Awareness Week 2023, a time when organisations look to improve their approach to transgender and non-binary inclusion.
