Trans in the City presents CEO’s Award to Robin White, and Community Service Award to Good Law Project.
Trans in the City presented Robin White with the prestigious CEO Award at our annual Gala and Awards ceremony held on the 14th November at LSEG. The award highlights an individual or team of people who have fundamentally made a positive difference to the trans and non-binary community.
Robin, an employment law specialist, won the award for her contributions to transgender equality, having advised extensively on transgender matters and acted in a wide range of transgender cases for both employers and employees.
On receiving the award, Robin said: “If I’ve been able to give a little back [through her work], particularly to the trans community, then that’s been a real pleasure in life. Receiving this award overwhelms me. But don’t worry, I don’t regard it as a time to stop. I’ll be out there fighting every day that I have left.”
Trans in the City CEO, Bobbi Pickard, said "Robin has been such a support to me, Trans in the City and so many trans and non-binary organisations over the years - more importantly she is an inspiration to us all on how to overcome adversity and thrive, to be a better person and to see people not as labels but as human beings. She brings love empathy and most of all her unstinting sense of justice for everyone. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of our highest accolade and all our thanks".
Congratulations, Robin!
Trans in the City also presented the Good Law Project with the Community Service Award at the annual Trans in the City Gala and Awards. The award recognises GLP’s exemplary service to the trans and non-binary community over the last 12 months.
Good Law Project has solidly stood by the trans and non-binary community and fought tooth and nail for trans rights and freedom.
Trans in the City CEO, Bobbi Pickard, said:
"The Good Law's work for many years but especially this year has been a shining beacon of hope and a stalwart protector for the trans community - being able to recognise this and celebrate them is a joy and so very deserved".
Thank you to the Good Law Project!
